Couple in a Garden

Couple in a Garden is currently displayed as part of an exhibition at Karyn Lovegrove Gallery, Mystery of the Invisible Clock, a group show organized by artist and curator Joshua Nathanson at Hudson Salon, 500 South Hudson Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90020.

The show will run from May 31st until July 12th 2008.

Classifieds / Encounters / Romances

Exhibition at GAM (Galeria de Arte Mexicano) where I invited people to join to the opening (via classifieds posted in newspapers and on the web) for them to meet a potential soulmate and start a new romance. A lot of people came the night of the opening and stayed until very late. There is no documentation for the piece, for gallery goers and romance seekers were all mixed and could not be distinguished. It is not possible to determine if the piece was a success, nor if it was a failure. A lot of people were flirting.

TV furniture, videos for vertical TVs: Alex and Blandine are on display in the exhibition A.K.A. (along with John Copeland, Sandrine Pelletier, Levi van Veluw, and Nick van Woert) at Fette's Gallery, Los Angeles. The shows opens June 22nd.

The two videos were also presented at UNAM in Mexico City in december 2006.

portrait of the curator

I was invited to a participate to an exhibition of portraits so I made a portrait of the curator.
The video was presented in London, UK, at the nice Kurdish Community Center in 2004 and lately at the "Der Profesor Winkler Romantik - Award" show, Galerie Christine Mayer, Münich, Germany in May 2007.

I invented a sing in tune karaoke machine that corrects the pitch of the voice of bad karaoke singers.
Performances were held in bars or at friends' places.
