Towards a Topology of Pornography
January 30

I have been invited to be part of the 2010 International Pornography Conference in London, UK.

I will talk about my modest attempt to establish a topology of the pornographic space. Pornography is a relatively easy space to characterize mathematically because it can be viewed as an interaction between elements pertaining in either class of "penatrators" (concave) or "penetratees" (convex).

The goal is to establish a set of laws, and not to establish a better understanding of pornography, to develop new tools that may (or may not) be applicable to other instances – for instance televised sport or commercial exchanges.
